Programs Communications Coordinators– Tennessee Wildlife Federation

The Tennessee Wildlife Federation Programs Communications Coordinator position will assist the Director of Communications in the creation of content for print and online media, media outreach, social media administration, and other materials to support the Federation’s programs: Hunting & Fishing Academy, Scholastic Clay Target Program, and Hunters for the Hungry to ultimately support the Federation’s mission to conserve Tennessee’s water, wildlife, and wild places.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct media outreach, monitor and manage social media for the Federation’s outreach programs;

  • Draft and proofread content including press releases, blog posts, social media content, invitations, newsletters, and other website content and related items to communicate the works and accomplishments of the Federation’s programs;

  • Liaise between programs and communications departments to optimize and drive outreach activities;

  • Coordinate with graphic designers and marketing specialists to generate creative communications materials;

  • Assist in results reporting including media coverage, website performance, and social media as it pertains to the results of the Federation’s outreach programs;

  • Represent the Federation during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings as needed;

  • Help staff various Federation program events when needed, cover and photograph various Federation program events across the state as needed (company car and/or reimbursement provided);

  • Manage and produce special projects as needed and other duties as assigned;

  • Communicate a positive conservation voice to the general public that generates interest and appeal;

  • Valid driver’s license and occasional travel required.
