The Oklahoma Water Resources Center (OWRC) at Oklahoma State University plans, conducts and facilitates research to resolve state and regional water and related land problems, facilitates training of the next generation of water scientists and engineers and disseminates research results to both water managers and the public.
The outreach/communication specialist will focus on delivering exceptional products and expertise to Oklahomans and advance our mission of empowering informed decision making and enriching understanding of the states' most critical water management issues through engagement, education and actionable science. The incumbent will serve as the primary communication staff member for the OWRC by developing, implementing, and maintaining a vibrant and comprehensive communications plan to meet the goals and objectives defined in our strategic plan. The incumbent will provide provide high quality print, digital and video promotional materials, write compelling stories, and successfully manage the OWRC's social media and website. The incumbent will plan, execute, and assist with outreach activities and assist the OWRC Director and staff with grant writing and management to support such efforts.
