A collaborative, exciting creative team seeks an Oral History Digital Storytelling Intern who can strategize and produce engaging content that showcases archival material in a social media space. The successful candidate will complete the internship with numerous published writing samples and broad experience in the area of communications relevant to new professionals entering the field.
Employment as an intern is on a semester by semester basis. Continued employment is contingent upon funding and performance.

What You'll Do
Intern will develop social media content for the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program accounts with a focus on highlighting the oral history collections and other archival materials. This will require working closely with the OOHRP staff to select transcripts, recordings and images, and edit for optimal display on various social media outlets. Intern will play an important role in developing the brand voice of the OOHRP, as well as research trends and audiences on the accounts. Intern will write electronic press kits promoting the OOHRP and work with the Library’s video production unit to produce videos promoting OOHRP. As a member of the Communication Services Office, the intern will also be called on to contribute to brainstorming sessions for campaigns and special projects, appear in Library videos, edit and proofread Library publications, and perform other duties as assigned.
