Operations Manager - Colorado Cattlemen's Association

Summary of Position:

The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for all systems and processes that Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) staff and the organization rely upon daily. The operations manager will play a crucial role in supporting the executive vice president (EVP) in ensuring the smooth running of our organization, supporting our mission to serve our members, and advancing the interests of the industry. Furthermore, the position leads to maintaining association records and implementing event and grant processes for CCA. The position ensures that the association meets deadlines for operational deliverables with a high degree of reliability and integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to the success of a mission-driven organization.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational Operations

  • Oversight of administrative processes such as answering and directing incoming calls, receiving and distributing office mail, maintaining records related to events and projects, and other intra-office responsibilities.

  • Maintains association processes, including, policies, resolutions, and other association documents/records/mailings.

  • Facilitates planning and executing various aspects of regional and statewide events, such as venue selection, budget management, vendor coordination, and logistics.

  • Provide administrative support to the association board of directors and committees by coordinating with the EVP on facilitating meetings, managing agendas, and coordinating follow-up actions.

  • Provide grant support by coordinating with the internal team to maintain grant applications, financial tracking, and reimbursements.

  • Coordinate grant deliverables and logistics and collaborate with the internal team to ensure alignment on grant objectives and event goals.

  • Maintain all office equipment outside of computers.

  • Coordinates ordering of office supplies and materials.

  • Coordinates and oversees other intra-office duties as determined by EVP.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have a passion for the beef industry and beef producers.


  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Agricultural, livestock, or beef industry background is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in an association environment is highly desirable.

  • Adept at MS Office, especially Excel and mail merges. Web-based databases. General office equipment.
