Western Livestock Journal is seeking a motivated individual to lead our talented team as we build upon our 100-year-old legacy and expand into new markets. This position is aimed to build our presence in all phases of print and digital marketing. The individual would report to and work closely with the president of WLJ on all marketing material including the website, social media feeds, printed advertising and industry outreach opportunities like convention trade shows, seminars and speaking engagements. This is a fast-paced, rewarding and relevant position for the right individual.
Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor’s degree
Journalism, public relations or communications experience a plus
Ability to positively interact with staff, advertisers and subscribers
Adept at giving direction while maintaining a positive work culture
Skilled in effective communication and problem solving
Effective leadership experience preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe packages
Duties:
Overseeing production, circulation, in-office finance, and editorial
Coordinating office activities to maintain efficiency company goals
Supervising and assisting staff in various tasks
Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff morale
Facilitate purchases, supplies, and scheduling maintenance
