U.S. Custom Harvesters is offering two internship positions for the 2022 U.S. Custom Harvesters Annual Convention in Amarillo, Texas. Our internship provides a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand experiences and interact with harvesters and business professionals. Interns will assist with event coverage of the tradeshow, membership meetings and educational sessions.
Both internships require post-convention work. Applications will be accepted until November 1, 2021.
Position: Communications Intern
Location: Amarillo, Texas
Time Period: January 26-30
Capture highlights in educational sessions to include in press release and on social media platforms.
Draft and write press releases following membership meetings and educational sessions.
Interview individuals to create feature stories and to include in highlight videos.
Photograph clinics, educational sessions and meetings.
Update and maintain social media presence throughout entire convention.
Assist broadcasting intern in executing videos to utilize on social media.
Write descriptions/news items for Facebook and Twitter pages.
Create post-convention press release.
Assist in video development and production.
Ability to manage social media platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interviewing skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and press release writing.
Ability to work independently and willingness to be a team player.
Strong interest in the agriculture industry, particularly the harvesting sector.
Willingness to learn from others and absorb knowledge about the harvest sector.
