The National Ranching Heritage Center Marketing Intern will assist the NRHC staff by executing the center’s marketing and promotion plans. The NRHC Marketing Intern will develop and distribute content, marketing and promotional materials consistent with the NRHC Marketing Plan. The overall goal of the NRHC Marketing Plan is to increase international awareness of the National Ranching Heritage resulting in increased traffic to the center’s online properties, social media, event attendance and visitors to the center. Major Duties will include:
Developing an information packet for distribution to RHA members and partners to generate traffic and interest to the center’s web/social properties
Produce weekly live/edited video blog to highlight NRHC/RHA stories, activities and events
Post NRHC structure stories to web/social media
Collect and distribute significant ranching stories through online and print resources
Assist with filming, editing and distributing “From the Grassroots” videos
Available to students with a marketing, communications, journalism, agricultural communications or agricultural journalism major interested in expanding their skills in a real-world scenario supporting the National Ranching Heritage Center.
Strong emphasis for students who have completed coursework in the major.
Applicants should display a talent for writing and editing for both print and online, social media best practices and video production and editing.
The ideal candidate will combine the requisite skills and talents for developing compelling content and telling a great story with a love for ranching heritage.
In addition, ideal candidates will have a great attitude and a willingness to learn, take constructive criticism and not be afraid to offer suggestions.
