Reporting to the Sr. Director of Consumer Marketing in the Domestic Marketing Department, the Domestic Marketing Intern will actively assist in the deployment of pork industry insights to key stakeholders throughout the pork industry value chain. This is a position that will be involved in marketing pork’s portfolio of products to consumers around the United States, both directly and through relationships in the retail, foodservice and online channels.
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
Developing consumer marketing plans and assets that are supported by data
Vetting and reviewing content created by influencers
Collaborating with consumer marketing agency partners in the development and deployment of digital campaigns
Working with internal teams to develop meaningful programs that build pork brand loyalty, create brand advocates and drive pork sales
Working with insights to develop marketing strategies and to advise channel partners on opportunities to grow pork demand
Assisting with retail point of purchase research, concept development, tool development and internal review
Translating channel partner strategies into plans, projects, and programs in collaboration with the full Domestic Marketing Team
Minimum Requirements:
Student working towards the Bachelor of Science in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaboration and people skills
Close attention to detail
Strong initiative and self-starter
Travel may be expected
Criteria for applying:
Internship will be May 17 - August 6, 2020.
Compensation is based on 40 hours per week over the 12-week period.
This position is based at our office in Clive, IA.
All interns will be expected to secure their own housing for the summer.
