Marketing Communications Specialist – Kemin

The Marketing Communications Specialist plans and executes a wide array of marketing projects and events – both internal and external – in coordination with the broader marketing team and under the direction of a Manager. The Specialist acts as a crucial liaison for the Marketing Communications department by tracking and shepherding projects from conception to completion.


Responsibilities

  • Execute projects such as advertising campaigns, promotional activities, literature creation, customer communications and PR strategies.

  • Work with a variety of media, including, but not limited to, print, digital, point-of-sale, social media, video/interactive media and direct mail.

  • Develop internal and external materials and communications which increase marketing effectiveness and help build and create brand awareness, including, but not limited to, press releases, website content, employee communications, sales and marketing collateral, tradeshow materials, presentations, trade publication articles and more.

  • Assist with the development of strategic marketing plans that support product and overall business growth goals.

  • Ensure that marketing, public relations and communications efforts adhere to established brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Work with a variety of metrics and determine ROI on various department-related tactics, including customer-facing events and advertising.

  • Act as overall project coordinator, maintaining project timelines, interacting with agency partners, coordinating media lists and editorial activities.

  • Research and identify new marketing-related technologies and strategies which drive future initiatives and make knowledge recommendations to the team.

  • Provide copywriting support including proofreading, drafting of new materials and execution of regulatory review process.

  • Work collaboratively with a diverse staff team to create and implement cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies, including research & development, product management and sales to develop sales tools and marketing collateral; and regulatory affairs to prepare and execute plans that support market expansion.

  • Attend events, trade shows and customer visits to execute and manage on-site activities as directed and represent Kemin to customers and other key audiences.

  • Responsible for managing portions of the marketing budget for applicable projects.
