Join the Career Services team! The Marketing & Communications Intern in the Department of Career Services will receive a wide variety of experiences in communications, advertising, and design.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with writing and producing content for the Career Services social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok - coming soon (with your help!)
Designing and editing graphics, flyers, digital signage, brochures, promotional materials, etc.
Creating content for weekly student email in Mailchimp
Maintenance and content development for the Career Services website
Provide video and photography support for events when needed
This position may also be responsible for administrative support including data entry, customer management software (CMS) maintenance, and assisting where needed at the Career Fairs.
We will work with the chosen candidate to customize their responsibilities and tailor them to their strengths and interests.
All applicants need to submit a cover letter, resume, and work samples by August 2nd at 5:00pm. Applicants must be current OSU students in a communications-related major (multimedia journalism, strategic communications, agricultural communications) or marketing-related major, and will need to have taken at least introductory design courses.
Intern experience and knowledge requirements include:
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required
Experience with web and social media required
Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook required
Writing experience preferred
Video experience preferred
Photography experience preferred
Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
Work up to 20 hours/week with a flexible schedule – pay begins at $10/hr.
If class credit is needed or if the chosen candidate has internship requirements for their major – we can work them in to the intern's responsibilities throughout the year.
Position will be evaluated at the end of each school year but can continue for the duration of the student’s time at OSU if mutually agreed upon by the intern and employer.
