Internship/ Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Lone Star PR staffers who manage these areas, you may be asked to work on the following, but not limited to:


  1. Add/Update Contacts: Keep lspr database up to date with correct media/sponsor and other contacts.

  2. Press Clippings: search for, clip and track all client press coverage.

  3. Website Updates: edit, update and create content for the user website and its client’s websites.

  4. Social Media Posts:  schedule social media posts for lspr and it’s client’s pages.

  5. Assist With Pitching and List Building (Tour Press/Blogs): Use MyEmma to create lists of local media to be used for tour press. Lists should include all three types of outlets: print, local TV affiliates, and local country radio stations within a 60-mile radius.

  6. Writing/ creating press materials: draft media alerts, press releases, bios, etc.

  7. Sponsorship ideas and pitches: Intern may be asked to help come up with creative sponsorship ideas for clients, find marketing contacts at those companies and email pitch potential sponsors.
