International Livestock Congress (ILC) Student Fellowships

Applications are now being accepted by the International Stockmen’s Educational Foundation (ISEF) for the 2022 International Livestock Congress (ILC) Student Fellowships Program! In an on-going effort to enhance the educational experiences of college students and strengthen the leaders of tomorrow’s livestock and meat industry, the ISEF awards fellowships each year for the ILC to senior-level undergraduates and graduate students attending accredited colleges or universities. Hosted in Houston, Texas, during the world-famous Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLS&R), the ILC is a unique global event that brings leaders from the livestock and meat industry together to discuss issues of international importance that affect the future of animal agriculture. Scholastic achievement, leadership experiences, and a professional reference are all part of the qualifying requirements for this fellowship program. The deadline for submission of the fellowship application and supporting materials is Monday, December 6, 2021.

All undergraduate and graduate students from accredited colleges and universities, pursuing a degree in Animal Science or another agriculture-related field, are eligible to apply for the ISEF Student Travel Fellowship to the 2022 ILC in Houston, Texas. Up to 12 students will be selected for this outstanding fellowship!

Selected students will participate in the entire International Livestock Congress program on March 2-3, 2022, in Houston, Texas, during the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo! (schedule subject to change):

· Wednesday, March 2, 2022: International Livestock Congress keynote address, panel discussion, networking opportunities, meals, HLS&R International Committee Reception, and HLS&R evening rodeo performance

· Thursday, March 3, 2022: International Livestock Congress keynote address, panel discussion, networking opportunities, and meals

ISEF Student Fellowship recipients will receive the following:

· Round-trip airline transportation;

· Three nights of lodging at the luxurious InterContinental Houston Medical Center Hotel (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights);

· All meals on Wednesday, March 2; and breakfast, break, and lunch on Thursday, March 3;

· Complimentary registration for the 2022 ILC, including meals, associated events, and access to an impressive lineup of speakers and elite industry panelists; and

· One rodeo ticket for the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening performance of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

For full consideration of this opportunity, ISEF Student Fellowship applications must be received by midnight (Central Time) on Monday, December 6, 2021.
