This internship offers the chance to gain real- world, hands-on experience through a corporate company. The intern will obtain valuable skills such as multi- project management and communications in a fast paced work environment. This internship is meant to challenge students and allow them to grow while gaining valuable work experience. Professional development and networking experience are also an opportunities with this internship.
Handles initial notice of loss for all AFR policies.
Set up claims within system and enters the required reserves for the correct line indicated by the Supervisor, Manager or Director.
Assigns new claim assignments to field, independent and/or staff adjuster by fax, scan, or email including any other necessary documents needed by the adjuster to process the claim.
Assists claimants, providers, and policyholders with claims and/or policy questions and concerns as well as directing inquiries to the appropriate supervisor or department.
Team player - should solicit and accept feedback, work well with others, adopt and share best practices.
Complies with and assists with records management requirements.
Makes copies, sorts mail, and scans incoming documents to claim files, labeling appropriately.
Processes approved reserve changes and checks.Assists internal and external claims personnel in claims processing and handling as needed and as directed.
