Overview: The Illinois Soybean Association is looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) program at the Illinois Soybean Association, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering background checks, salaries, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization. The position may also include working with the team at ISA to develop budgets, review project ideas, manage project and contract status working with an internal database.
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Manages the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, background checks, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
Plans, directs, and administers various human resource programs including staff performance evaluations.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
