Facilities Coordinator – Turning Point

Stillwater, OK • Part-Time • 20 Hours Per Week

Role Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Facilities Coordinator (FC) will have responsibility for Turning Point's facilities ensuring safety and proper function of all working parts according to PATH International standards. The FC will also be responsible for ensuring the grounds are always manicured and aesthetically pleasing.

Accountability: This position reports to the Turning Point Executive Director Classification: The FC is a part-time position and is a Red River AmeriCorps Member.

Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Management:

  • Ensure ongoing facility maintenance that provides excellent conditions for programming

  • Actively engage and energize Turning Point volunteers, staff & board members during projects, work groups and routine maintenance Operations & Program

Planning & Implementation:

  • Responsible for a safe environment for EAAT programming

  • Develop & implement effective systems to make maintenance effective

  • Implement scheduling and record keeping for all equipment

  • Organize, implement and oversee volunteer service groups

  • Organize, implement and oversee the labor focused area of the partnership with Stillwater Public Schools Pathfinders Transition Program Financial Planning & Stewardship

  • Responsible for the overall stewardship of Turning Point’s facility resources


  • The FC will be thoroughly committed to Turning Point's mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.

Examples of Duties:

  • Sweep sidewalks of debris and grass to keep walking areas clean

  • Trim shrubs

  • Spray weeds

  • Maintain trails

  • Maintain pastures

  • Organize materials for work groups

  • Supervise work groups ● Maintain barn/classroom/office facilities i.e. lights, leaks, plumbing ● Maintain fences

  • Drag outdoor arena as needed

  • Maintain equipment, excluding tack, mowers, tractor, UTV, Arena Drag, and Tools/hardware

  • Load/unload hay as necessary to keep hay stocked in paddocks

  • Install in spring and winterize in fall the pond fountain

  • Maintain algae control of pond and waterfall

  • Other duties as assigned
