Position Details:
This position is located at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the Oklahoma County Extension Office.
Provides assistance to the Extension educator(s), (Extension Educator, Urban Agriculture and Horticulture in planning, conducting, and evaluating Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service educational programs. Some evenings and weekend activities are required to carry out the job responsibilities. Some travel required with travel budget provided.
Contribute to the marketing and promotion of urban agriculture, natural resources and horticulture Extension programs, using different social media platforms and computer applications.
Assist Urban Agriculture and Horticulture Extension Educators in preparing teaching materials for Extension programs.
Participate in professional development, report preparation, office management and maintenance of relationships with other community partner organizations.
Support Urban Agriculture and Horticulture Educators with clerical and organizational needs such sending soil water and forage sample reports to clientele.
Assist OSU Urban Agriculture and Horticulture Extension Educators with the production of educational media such as short videos and podcast segments.
Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.

Required:
High School/GED with 1 year of work experience.
Valid OK Driver's license.
Desire to pursue additional training and/or staff development.
Ability to use technology effectively and appropriately.
Familiar with Microsoft Office.
Able to provide own transportation with adequate vehicle insurance verification according to state law.
Excellent people skills. Good organizational skills.
Preferred:
Familiar with Canva, Adobe Spark and Constant Contact.
