About the Role

GENEX seeks a driven and passionate individual to join our Marketing Team. The Event Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing internal communication strategies and building strong member and customer relationships through well-planned and executed in-person and virtual events.


This position requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is willing to travel as events require and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for employees, members and customers. The Event Coordinator will report to the GENEX Brand Manager.


Major Areas of Responsibility

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop a global events strategy that supports the cooperative's overall goals and brand identity.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes.

  • Conduct market research and stay up to date on industry trends to ensure event strategies remain competitive and innovative.

  • Build relationships with key industry partners, presenters, and vendors to enhance event quality and offerings.

  • Create and communicate the annual events calendar.

Event Management:

  • Plan, execute and oversee a diverse range of events from concept to post-event evaluation.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop event-specific promotional materials, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.

  • Manage event logistics, including venue sourcing, meals, equipment rental and travel arrangements.

  • Create event checklists and timelines, and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.

  • Coordinate seamless event execution.

Attendee Experience:

  • Design event experiences that engage, educate and entertain attendees while reflecting the company's values.

  • Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the attendee experience and incorporate insights into future events.

Metrics and Analysis:

  • Establish metrics to measure the success of events, such as attendance rates, engagement levels and ROI.

  • Analyze post-event data and feedback to generate comprehensive reports, identifying areas of improvement and success.

  • Use data-driven insights to refine future event strategies and tactics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, agriculture or proven experience in relevant areas.

  • Proven experience in planning and executing successful events, with a focus on employee communication and customer engagement.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Creativity and innovation in event concept development and execution.

  • Budget management skills to ensure cost-effective event planning.

  • Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and adapt to changing situations.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events.
