Summary of Position

The Equine Network, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Email Marketer. The person in this role will play a critical part in our email and marketing efforts, working with our various equine and horse related brands.

Primarily working in the Braze platform, this role will require knowledge of personalization tactics, attribute-based segmentation, and cross-selling between brands. Outgoing communications will span informational/newsletter, promotional, and transactional emails from brands that include media sites, magazine subscriptions, roadside assistance and other horse and farm-related products. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the end-user, and able to develop customer journeys that best suit each user’s interests as well as our brand priorities.


  • Develop email templates, campaigns, and automated flows for our network of exciting horse-related brands.

  • Work with editors, marketers, and stakeholders across brands to gather requirements, content, and assets for email campaigns.

  • Use the Braze platform to efficiently design content blocks and templates that can be used by multiple collaborators to send communications.

  • Organize and tag assets within Braze for clarity and re-use by other team members.

  • Design and implement A/B tests for campaign and journey optimization.

  • Create segments based on user attributes and brand opt-ins to effectively deliver communications to users while improving overall email program deliverability.


  • Email Design and Implementation in the Braze platform

  • Audience Segmentation and logic-based filtering

  • Email and SMS customer journey creation

  • Application of brand guidelines and styles in email campaigns

  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally with brand stakeholders: gather requirements, content, and deadlines

  • Prioritize campaigns and collaborate with stakeholders on send timing, email calendar, and communication goals


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, design, or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in email and communication strategies, design, implementation, and optimization

  • Adobe creative suite expertise

  • HTML and CSS knowledge

  • Hands-on experience in Braze, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar email service provider

  • Should be a whiz at WYSIWYG content creation

  • Pixel-perfect attention to detail

Nice to have:

  • Braze experience

  • Copywriting skills

  • Web design and UX experience

  • Knowledge of Liquid Variables and personalization tactics

  • AB and multivariate testing experience

  • Portfolio or examples of previous email work

Work Location: Remote/Home
