SUMMARY OF FUNCTION

Media Director is responsible for leading and overseeing our media team in strategy, planning, tactical execution, implementation, optimization, and performance analysis. Provides brand representation in all with all community digital media, newspapers, ProRodeo Sports News, newspapers, television, and radio stations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads and oversees the PRCA Media Department which is responsible for the production and promotion of all PRCA publications print and digital including the ProRodeo Sports News, ProRodeo Program, PRCA Media Guide, PRCA Contract Personnel Directory, PRCA Committee Guide, the editorial content in the National Finals Rodeo Program, and content for prorodeo.com.

  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives; makes final decisions on administrative matters and ensures operations’ effective achievement of objectives.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements in conjunction with the accounting department.

  • Oversees all PRCA social media activity.

  • Oversees all PRCA media operations.

  • Oversees Media Center at National Finals Rodeo

  • Works closely with PSN Editor.

  • Tailors media strategies to the PRCA’s best advantage as a membership.

  • Builds long-term relationships with media influencers to promote our brand.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries.

  • Manages all publication and digital content projects per deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Directly Supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, directing work, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Employee may be asked to perform duties that are outside of the specific work that is listed.
