Oversee the strategic branding, marketing, market research and internal and external communications for the university. Provide comprehensive, integrated strategic marketing and communications planning and implementation in support of university goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clearly communicates and improves the name and brand recognition of OSU Institute of Technology among targeted audiences including prospective students, parents, industry, community leaders, alumni and other constituents.
Performs necessary duties as campus Public Information Officer (PIO).
Provides leadership, supervision, mentoring and opportunities for professional development for a specialized staff in the areas of media relations, graphic design, photographic services, content development, digital strategy and social media.
Increases and optimizes the pool of qualified inquiries and applicants for admission to the university through promotion and communication strategies.
Bolsters the local and regional reputation of OSUIT as an accredited, advanced technological institution of higher education.
Responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication plans for the various university divisions, working in conjunction with academic division leaders to ensure all programs have the necessary marketing materials and press outreach to succeed.
Initiate, develop, implement, evaluate and continually improve upon strategies to improve and enhance internal communications within the University.
Determine initiatives to enhance community development and relations.
