Director of Events and Educations – National Swine Registry

Position Summary: The Director of Events and Educations reports to the Vice President of Operations. This role is responsible for, but not limited to, operation of junior shows, development of educational resources and outreach activities, and coordinating national leadership conferences for the National Junior Swine Association (NJSA). This position will support the efforts of the National Swine Registry and work closely with the Marketing and Communications Department, as well as the Field Staff.


Location: NSR Office, West Lafayette, Ind


Application Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and organized

  • Able to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel for shows and other events

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends for shows and events

  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture education, animal science, agricultural communications, or related field

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the livestock industry and livestock shows

  • Ability to develop quality educational content and programs for diverse audiences

  • Superior people relationship skills, including both youth and adultsTeam player who can organize and facilitate events and programs

  • Ability to demonstrate ownership in the quality of individual work

  • Willingness to fully commit to the strategic vision of the organization as a whole and identify an individual role in facilitating that vision
