In this exciting role at our Washington, D.C.-based, trade association, we are looking for a strategic and creative thinker ready to build on our reputation management initiatives and support our member institutions. This position develops Farm Credit’s digital strategy – from managing the national website, www.FarmCredit.com, to developing the vision for all @FarmCredit channels. The perfect mix of internal-to-membership and external communications, this position will challenge digital communicators to keep pace with trends and deliver on an analytics-based approach.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates Farm Credit Council’s internal and external social media strategies and content for member-institutions, including monthly editorial calendars.

  • Supports the communications specialist in day-to-day execution of @FarmCredit social media engagements with Farm Credit institutions, strategic partners, media, ally groups, congressional members/committees and outside audiences.

  • Manages and directs vendor-supported paid social media efforts supporting national campaigns and Farm Credit’s mission.

  • Leads digital projects, campaigns and team members in developing copy, graphics, press releases and other creative assets.

  • Oversees and maintains baseline reporting infrastructure, social media reporting and analytics; applies insights to future initiatives.

  • Provides media monitoring and external communications support including drafting press releases

  • Acts as primary point of contact for Farm Credit web properties and projects, effectively managing vendors and web consultants.

  • Develops and maintains search engine optimization (SEO) and keyword strategies across all digital properties; serves as SEO, Google Search, Google analytics subject matter expert.

  • Manages all web properties and applications integrated with the website.

  • Oversees the association management software system, its related and integrated applications and vendors.

  • Manages the Farm Credit Council internship program, including hiring and program development.
