Lubbock, TX • Full-Time • Bachelor's Degree Required Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgement.
Major/Essential Functions
Develop, assist, and implement strategic communications and marketing efforts for the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Dean’s Office including digital media tools, print, and graphic design.
Manage, coordinate, and create Davis College website content and calendar to include its departments, centers, and programs.
Manages the writing, design and coordination of the production of digital communication and marketing materials for Davis College.
Manages the use of branding Davis College to internal and external audiences.
Assist departments, centers, and institutes with implementation of their strategic marketing plans to include digital media, print media and other multimedia tools while maintaining a positive working relationship.
Actively seeks out student, faculty, staff and alumni stories that support the strategic messages.
Assist various faculty, staff, and administration with presentation preparation.
Work with TTU Office of Communications and Marketing staff to coordinate public relations efforts and to ensure distribution of news releases to appropriate media outlets and audiences for Davis College to include its departments, centers, and programs.
Develop and manage integrated Davis College publications.
Responsible for promotion of Davis College events including photography, videography, and social media as deemed appropriate.
Responsible for the collection and organization of bragging facts and stories for Davis College.
Management of the Davis College marketing and communications staff.
Work collaboratively with Davis College Development and External Relations in support of the Dean as deemed appropriate. Maintain a positive relationship with academic chairs, deans, and other staff to meet the marketing needs of the college.
Serve as a member of administrative council and serve as the Deans office representative to the college Marketing and Outreach Committee.
Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses required by the dean.
Other duties as assigned in support of marketing and communications efforts in Davis College.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis
