Essential Functions


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Direct the development, implementation and measurement of an integrated communications and marketing strategy to achieve ACES priorities.

  • Provide leadership and supervision for all operations and business/financial functions of the communications and marketing team.

  • Serve as a brand champion for ACES and our partnering universities and ensure consistency in tone and message across all marketing communications and initiatives by working collaboratively with colleagues in the Alabama A&M Extension Marketing and Communications Unit.

  • Develop and direct a comprehensive internal communications strategy to empower and engage faculty and staff to serve as champions for ACES by providing training and tools along with appropriately balanced latitude and oversight.

  • Lead the development of the ACES brand and craft strategic, data-driven marketing plans that advance the organizational priorities to raise the organizational profile and reputation.

  • Cultivate and maintain a collegial team-oriented and customer-focused culture that retains and attracts excellent talent.

  • Manages customer, stakeholder, and organization interactions through the implementation and integration of supporting technology platforms (e.g. Salesforce CRM) and processes in coordination with the ACES Information Technology Unit.

  • Works collaboratively with the ACES Information Technology Unit to enhance customer and business databases that support organizational goals and marketing strategy while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and university policies regarding subscription management, customer tracking requirements, and security.
