Location: Director of Commercial Marketing is a traveling position (est. 65%). Location is negotiable. However, preference will be given to those willing to work from the RAAA office in Denver, CO.
Promote RAAA commercial marketing programs and represent the Red Angus breed at various beef industry events
Oversee and manage RAAA commercial marketing team and value-added programs.
Serve on the leadership team, including input, direction and execution of committees and strategic plan.
Build a network between breeders, commercial ranchers, feedlots, packers and consumers
Create a strong team environment to enhance RAAA marketing programs, breed growth and Red Angus promotional programs
Work effectively with industry partners including, but not limited to, packers, feedlots, breeders and cow-calf producers large and small.
Other responsibilities based on skill and interest as determined by the CEO
Thorough working knowledge of all segments of the beef industry
Experience managing a sizable budget
Experience in planning and executing complex activities to achieve desired goals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Skilled in the ability to phenotypically evaluate and describe cattle
Comfortable with computers and related technology
Prior experience managing remote staff
Action-oriented with a proven track record of results
Working knowledge of EPDs, bio-economic indexes and genetic evaluation methodology
Self-motivated and able to work in and foster a favorable team environment
Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities effectively
Meets all deadlines effectively
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
Minimum 10 years of professional beef cattle industry experience required
