Director of Athletic Creative Services – University of Tulsa

POSTION SUMMARY:

The Director of Athletics Creative Media and Marketing will serve as the department’s design coordinator, be responsible for the direction and growth of The University of Tulsa brand and will manage the athletics primary social media outlets.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Graphic Design – Develop graphic design collateral for external units to utilize for digital and printed purposes. Collateral will be expected to grow the visibility and brand for The University of Tulsa Department of Athletics. Responsible for creation graphical templates for sport specific digital media purposes. Assist Athletic Development department in creation of stewardships and revenue generation elements. Assist Aspire Group in collateral for revenue generation.

  • Digital Media – Manage and direct content for the department’s primary social media sites including the creation and implementation of yearly social media strategies and plans. Work with video, communications, athletic development and marketing department staffs to ensure that content is regularly updated on department’s main social media accounts, while regularly engaging with fans on social media. Coordinate with Sports Information Directors and teams on social media strategies and best practices.

  • Video Coordination – Work with Cane Vision to visualize and coordinate team intro and promotional videos that grow the visibility and brand for The University of Tulsa Department of Athletics.

  • Other duties as assigned by Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation and Fan Engagement; including game day responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends. Exceptional design, communication and social media analytical skills. Proven ability to develop an effective social media/graph design plan to achieve goals. Strong creative skills to further enhance the department’s brand.

Preferred Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends. Exceptional design, communication and social media analytical skills. Proven ability to develop an effective social media/graph design plan to achieve goals. Strong creative skills to further enhance the department’s brand.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with all Adobe Creative Suite platforms.
