Go Farm Yourself (GFY) is a rapidly growing commodity marketing service helping farmers make cash grain sales. Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, GFY was created by Co­Founder and CEO Rupert Williams, who is a former CBOT floor trader, and broker, and Jefferson Duggan, a computer scientist. Rupert recognized that the big guys in Chicago and Wall Street have data platforms and computer algorithms that can quickly trade and make decisions much faster than a human can.

GFY is looking for an energetic and self-motivated student intern to join the team for the summer and help create content in the office day to day. If you're an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you.

What You'll Be Doing

If you are interested in content creation, social media marketing, and learning about sales and marketing, this is the perfect role for you. This internship is designed to allow college students the opportunity to hone their skills in digital content creation including:

  • TikTok Reels

  • Instagram Reels

  • Twitter Posts, Spaces, polls, etc.

  • Facebook

  • YouTube Shorts

  • And a whole lot more!

Day-to-day you'll be located in the GFY office in Des Moines, Iowa assisting the head of sales, and the CEO to create engaging content to post on social media and interact with farmers. Shooting videos on your cell phone, editing videos and TikTok reels, and being savvy on social media is a must! We are also looking for someone who fits well with our fun, fast paced culture. Someone who is willing to work hard, and play hard with the team.


  • Assisting to manage GFY social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, lnstagram, TikTok)

  • Using social media to drive farmer engagement and ultimately, free trials of GFY

  • Contributing to the creation of graphics, videos, email campaigns, and social media content

  • Performing market analysis and research on the latest trends in farm media

  • Assisting with daily administrative duties

  • Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas

  • Researching and evaluating competitor marketing and digital content

  • Spending time collaborating with the sales team to understand farmer pain points, sentiment, feedback, etc. to make more engaging content
