Stillwater, OK • Full-Time • Bachelor's Degree Required Headquartered in OSU Agricultural Communications Services, this individual reports directly to the Ferguson College of Agriculture communications and marketing manager and is part of a team that works closely with the associate dean and leadership to develop and implement appropriate content across multiple communications platforms in order to highlight the college within the OSU community, as well as the state, region and country.
The Digital Communications Specialist will create and manage social media strategy for the college. Execute the planning and creation of content for the college's social media channels. Review and approve all social media posts written by team members to ensure consistency and enforce brand standards. Maintain an eye for detail and deliver on deadline. Have an understanding of current trends in social media and how to effectively reach target audiences using data-driven analytics. Monitor social media channels during the evenings and weekends.
Write and edit copy for digital materials including social media captions, digital advertisement copy, website copy and other stories as assigned.
Work with the team to develop digital campaigns with respect to social media, website, email marketing, digital advertising and more.
Assist the communications and marketing manager in supervising student employees. Oversee projects for graduate assistants and undergraduate interns in regard to social media, website content development and writing. Assign projects and review completed tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Work with the creative communications specialist and assist in creating and incorporating graphic design and layout elements for multimedia efforts on the web and social media.

Bachelor's in Agricultural Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Mass Communication, or related field.
One year experience in communications, including but not limited to social media, electronic content creation, web, writing, graphic design, video, print and/or related tasks/projects.
