Digital Communications Manager – Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation

Founded in 1946, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is among the nation’s oldest, most respected independent, nonprofit biomedical research institutes. OMRF is dedicated to understanding and developing more effective treatments for human diseases, focusing on critical research areas such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, and cardiovascular disease. OMRF follows an innovative cross-disciplinary approach to medical research and ranks among the nation’s leaders in patents per scientist.


Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, the Digital Communications professional is responsible for managing and implementing digital communications strategies that promote OMRF’s brand and initiatives. This includes creating and publishing content across various digital channels to increase engagement and grow OMRF’s online presence. Examples include:

  • Manage OMRF’s social media channels, including creating and scheduling content and responding to messages and comments

  • Manage OMRF’s paid social media campaigns

  • Monitor and report on the success of digital communication campaigns and adjust strategies as needed

  • Update and create content for OMRF.org

  • Support updates to and content creation for OMRF lab websites and Intranet

  • Manage creation and deployment of OMRF emails for internal and external audiences

  • Shoot and edit photos and videos for digital distribution

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, advertising/marketing, journalism or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. Must have strong writing and editing skills with experience in content creation, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail with effective planning and time management skills, and demonstrated proficiency with social media management, email marketing and website content management. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five years of progressive experience in media, agency, or in-house marketing/communications function

  • Skilled in photography and videography creation and editing

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, BEE, Canva, Google Analytics, Pardot and WordPress
