Coordinator Student Retention – OSU College of Education and Human Sciences

Under the direction of the Director of Recruitment and Retention, plan, launch and sustain initiatives with the aim of increasing undergraduate student retention and graduation rates, as well as reducing time to graduation, in the College of Education and Human Sciences (EHS). Specifically, organize college-level involvement in activities associated with New Student Orientation and Enrollment and Cowboy Welcome Week. Plan and execute short-term college-specific retention and student engagement initiatives, such as, but not limited to, the annual EHS College Week, Scholars Forum and each semester's Learning Lounge weekly study hall. Serve as the lead advisor for the college's PETE Project Living-Learning Program. Coordinate with APSS Directors to develop and manage regular current student communication through the EHS Student Success Community on Canvas, with dynamic, engaging and relevant content. Serve as the communications lead for the Knaub Center for Student Success and the Watson Center for Student Development, supporting the development of digital signage, social media content, videos, pictures/images and campaign messaging under the direction of the APSS directors and as a liaison to the EHS Communications and Marketing unit, University Brand Management, the Office of First-Year Success communications staff and Undergraduate Admissions communications team. Serve as a team member within APSS, which collaborates to provide innovative guidance to diverse initiatives related to student recruitment, development, recognition, leadership, retention and timely graduation.


Travel is required as necessary. This may include out-of-state or in-state travel. Additionally, it may be necessary to attend meetings and professional development conferences out of town.
