Communications Specialist (Photographer) – OSU Agricultural Communications Services


Stillwater, OK • Full-Time • Bachelor's Degree Required

As a member of OSU Agricultural Communications Services, this individual is the primary photographer, photo editor and provides photo support for OSU Agriculture, which includes OSU Extension, OSU Ag Research and the Ferguson College of Agriculture. This highly-visible position requires interacting with colleagues, clients and stakeholders statewide, both internal and external to the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in communications, journalism, public relations, agricultural communications, or related field

  • Two years or more of demonstrated experience in photography.

  • This position serves as the photographer for Agricultural Communications Services.

  • Valid drivers' license.

  • Expertise in digital photography, photo editing and post production.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom and digital file storage, as well as multimedia photography production skills for print, video, online and social media use. Knowledge of Word, Adobe suite programs and other relevant software.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. This job requires a high level of internal and external public contact. Ability to work independently on projects and contribute to project team efforts. Supervise student interns and contract employees.

  • Oklahoma driver's license or ability to obtain an Oklahoma driver's license within 30 days of hire. Duty reporting is in-person on the OSU campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

  • Travel is required, including overnight stays. Outdoor work is required, including in inclement weather. Travel budget provided.
