Communications Specialist – OSU Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence

The OSU Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence is seeking candidates for a Communications Specialist position (Req 10120), and I wanted to forward you information to share with students who are graduating soon. Though it is a full-time position, I would consider hiring an individual part-time until they graduate.

The Communications Specialist will assist the director and associate director with strategic planning, research, and marketing campaigns to grow enrollment in OSU’s online degrees and outreach programs; work on OSU online education and outreach projects; will provide assistance and communication to prospective online undergraduate and graduate students regarding online degrees, outreach courses, admissions, curriculum, format and cost; and work with academic college online managers to coordinate information posted on the OSU Online and Outreach websites.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Student Development, or Higher Education. Demonstrated experience in communications, including, but not limited to social media, video, web, writing, editing and content creation. Familiarity with various business/education software. Preferred Qualifications: experience in an advising office or student development field, knowledge of OSU student support services and/or advising experience; experience writing student support content.
