The Communications Specialist will work within Oklahoma State University's Department of Brand Management using project management, writing and editing skills to help implement OSU's strategic marketing and communications plan which prioritizes recruitment, retention and reputation management.
The Communications Specialist will utilize skills in campaign planning, digital marketing, content prioritization and advertising writing to enhance OSU's reputation as well as brand awareness among key target audiences. This position supports the university's strategic priorities across channels including print advertising, email marketing, social media, web writing and feature stories and more.
This position must have an understanding of current strategic communications, marketing and outreach strategies and an adaptable writing style for various audiences. The individual should be highly organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects and editorial calendars. The individual should demonstrate self-direction, creativity and strategic thinking in finding new opportunities to showcase Oklahoma State University.
