Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the creation, production, and evolution of CALS print and digital media including periodicals, primary and certain subsidiary websites, social media, blogs, email communications, photography and videography, news releases, multimedia presentations, support materials for proposals, promotional campaign collateral, and marketing pieces (such as logos, design work, and managing design projects with colleagues). Monitors web and social media analytics and search engine optimization.


Confers regularly with the Dean, the AVP for UF/IFAS Communications, administrators, advancement/alumni representatives, UF and departmental communicators, faculty, staff and students about college activities and programs to identify and develop communication messages, articles, news releases, and newsletters, particularly print and online publications. Participates with UF/IFAS Communications in formulating strategies for IFAS news, reputation, marketing and communication strategies and operations. Identifies and develops strong story ideas and marketing plans.


Requirements

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
