Communications Intern/Specialist– Oklahoma Water Resources Center

The intern will work directly with the Communication & Outreach Specialist in the Oklahoma Water Resources Center at Oklahoma State University, Sierra Schupp. Intern will work out of Suite 110 in the Noble Research Center and will work with faculty and planning committee.


The intern will assist with the planning outreach events for the NAISEF (National American Indian Science and Engineering Fair). The student intern will create promotional materials, complete video editing, develop signage materials, and other media as needed throughout the year.


Activities include layout and writing for Family STEM curriculum and event announcements. The internship will provide a broad range of experience including the design of communication and marketing materials, promotions and events, social media strategy and event planning.


Intern experience and knowledge requirements include:

-Thorough communication, editorial and social media experience.

-Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.

-Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and HootSuite.


Position Available Beginning Summer and/or Fall 2022. The internship requires approximately 15-20 hours per week and is flexible with student class schedules. Interns will be paid $10/hr.
