The Extension Nutrition Program, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a 12-month, 1.0 FTE Communications and Marketing Specialist. This position will develop and distribute educational and promotional materials to communicate with the SNAP-Ed and EFNEP program audience, stakeholders, local extension units, and the surrounding communities. This position will also utilize a variety of mediums to create and distribute engaging written, graphic, and video content to enhance the SNAP-Ed and EFNEP programs and projects. The Communications and Marketing Specialist reports to the SNAP-Ed Coordinator.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
Create and distribute engaging written and graphic content in the form of educational materials, e- and regular newsletters, webpage, and social media messages
Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages
Grow and expand the SNAP-Ed and EFNEP program’s presence on existing and new social media platforms
Collect data to analyze interactions and visits, and use this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
