Communications Administrative Assistant – Crossings Community Church


Oklahoma City, OK • Full-Time • Bachelor's Degree Required


Provides a variety of administrative, production, and organizational support and works with various departments and individuals to ensure materials and resources flow through the Communications Department in an efficient and timely manner to ensure the effective administration of the mission and goals of the Communications ministry and Crossings Community Church (Crossings or CCC).

This position is a full-time position (40 hours weekly). The work week at Crossings is Monday - Sunday. Typical work hours will be Monday thru Friday. Actual days and hours of work are subject to event schedules as well as department and Church needs which may require days and hours beyond or different from your typical work week.


Organizational Relationships

Reports to Director of Communications Operations. This position interfaces regularly with most departments/ministries and campuses throughout Crossings Community Church, as well as Crossings Community Clinic, Crossings Community Center, various vendors, Crossings partners, and volunteers to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings’ and the Communications Ministry.

  • Possess a passion for ministry

  • Ability to multitask, organize, and collaborate in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to new demands and unexpected delays.

  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information

  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion, judgment, and decision-making as it relates to the scope of the job

  • Highly developed proficiency, competency, and speed in computer operation including standard Google Docs and Google Sheets

  • Proficiency in the use of the Internet including Google and Gmail

  • Quick and accurate aptitude for the acquisition of other software, database, and scheduling applications, such as Wrike, Rock RMS, and ServiceU.

Responsibilities

  • Support Communications Project Coordinator in coordinating simultaneous projects utilizing project management

  • Back up for printing

  • Work with outside vendors to obtain goods & services, which may include

  • Complete computer and customer service-related tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Media uploads to Vimeo, YouTube, App, podcasts, etc.

  • Obtain information for print & digital advertisements

  • File/Maintain records, physical and digital

  • Schedule and coordinate volunteers as needed

  • Assist the Communications Department in keeping all information current across multiple platforms, including but not limited to video monitors, information walls, event/lobby posters, worship folder, scheduling calendar, website

  • Create and update meeting agenda and participate in weekly Communications Dept. meeting

  • Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church

  • Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation

  • Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved

  • Complete any other tasks as may be needed to fulfill this position or as may be assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of the Communications Ministry
