The Communications Specialist will work within Oklahoma State University's Department of Brand Management to accomplish the marketing and communications goals of OSU's Division of Academic Affairs and Division of Student Affairs. The communications specialist will utilize skills in project management, campaign planning, digital marketing, content prioritization and writing to inform and engage key target audiences. Specifically, this individual will assist with web content migrations, writing user-focused content and digital communications including email marketing, social media and more. These efforts align with OSU's strategic marketing and communications plan which prioritizes recruitment, retention and reputation management.
This position must have an understanding of current strategic communications, marketing and outreach strategies and an adaptable writing style for various audiences. The individual should be highly organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects and content calendars. Additionally, this individual must be adept at working with individuals at various roles and leadership levels, collecting feedback and improving communications based on information received. The individual should demonstrate self-direction, creativity and strategic thinking in finding new opportunities to showcase Oklahoma State University.
