Work as a member of the organization’s communications team contributing content to social media and Web, television and print platforms. Responsible for developing and implementing a plan to strategically manage and create content for NCBA’s member and producer-facing social media properties. Contributes to the overall NCBA communications strategy and manages complex projects for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Leads the development and implementation of NCBA’s digital strategy. Writes content with digital first point of view to maximize reach and engagement with diverse stakeholders.
Publishes content to NCBA-owned social channels. Monitors engagement, analyzes results and continually optimizes performance.
Participates in editorial meetings and actively contributes content ideas.
Contributes to drafting press releases, articles and other materials as needed.
Facilitates communications and supports across departments to create and share content.
Supports conventions and conferences, assisting with content development, posting to social channels, writing and editing.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the field of communications, preferably with a background in agriculture and 1-2 years minimum of digital/social media experience. Experience in television production and/or newsroom experience is a plus. Travel, at times extensive, is required in this position.
