Advertising/Media Coordinator – Ag Division Great Plains Manufacturing

In this role, you are responsible for building and strengthening the relationships between the dealer marketing personnel and Great Plains through effective marketing communications. You will serves as liaison between the dealers, outside vendors, and within agency departments to coordinate efficient and timely processing of dealer support materials from inception to completion.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the Ag Division co-op program by reviewing claims, documenting submissions, adjusting the claims if needed, approving, and submitting the claims to credit.

  • Resizes, reformats, or creates custom co-op and direct mail materials to promote Great Plains products at the dealer level.

  • Reviews vendor invoices of dealer-related purchases for accuracy. Codes invoices and routes them to the Marketing Manager for approval, or contacts the vendor for corrections, credits, or adjustments, if needed. Completes the billing form for charges that need to be passed along to the dealer.

  • Manages the dealer direct mail co-op program, including event invitations and new dealer announcements.

  • Coordinates the printing and mail processing with the Great Plains Copy Center and/or outside vendors.

  • Proofreads all advertising and collateral materials for spelling, grammar, and accuracy. 

  • Backs up copywriter and graphic designer, as needed.

  • Writes content and completes the layout of the monthly divisional dealer newsletter, Marketing Memo.

  • Manages open house kit orders for dealer events; monitors the inventory of kit components and notifies the Marketing Communications Coordinator when stock is getting low.

  • Sends New Dealer Marketing Orientation Packets to new dealer accounts; follows up to ensure dealer marketing staff understand the services provided to Great Plains Ag Division dealers.

  • Manages the orders and shipments of branding kits, lighted signs, and other branding items utilized at the dealer level. Reviews and codes invoices and dealer billing statements and routes them to the Marketing Manager for approval.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with word processing, Email, Spreadsheets, Software Concepts, Hardware, Presentations, Graphics, and Multimedia.

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design programs including InDesign and PhotoShop.
